Identify the Junction
Is it the one I want, is it 'open' or 'closed' Mirrors Main mirror Right mirror Signals Right Signal when it will not confuse others Position Move towards the centre line if safe to do so. Speed Brake to the correct speed, or normally it's a “stop” Look Are there any vulnerable road users about to, or using the junction? Look right, is it safe to go that way? Look left, is it safe to emerge without slowing others Look right, because that's where you are going Move off, or keep moving Steer right into the road Steer straight along the road Make progress M mirrors, who is following you S Signals, have they gone off, do I need another one soon. P Position, am I in the right position? S Speed, what am I doing, what am I allowed, is it safe to do so? L Look ahead so you can plan ahead M S P S L |
