Reversing into an opening on the Left,

Move to the Start Position Move off safely look into the road as you pass it. Is it safe to use, any traffic, roadworks etc Stop just past the junction point, about 18" from the kerb Into REVERSE straight-away, and now the reverse lights are showing what you plan to do Apply the handbrake Keep your head moving all the time… Look where you are going RADAR Head check where the car is compared to the kerb what's happening in your blind-spot, and everywhere else Move to the Turning Point All-round observations in Reverse order Look where you are going, checking all around RADAR head Move SLOWLY Stop when the rear wheel is at the start of the curve Make the Turn (Always use 1 complete turn, just adjust the amount of time between turns) Blind Spot ! 1 complete turn towards the kerb wait until the car is just about to become parallel with the apex of the kerb 1 complete turn straight RADAR head As the kerb starts to turn away from the car.. RADAR head . 1 complete turn towards the kerb wait until the car is just about to become parallel with the apex of the kerb 1 complete turn straight RADAR head Adjust as required to become parallel to the kerb (It feels like you have just driven round the edge of a 20p coin) Stay Close and Parallel to the kerb Stop when you are about 3 car lengths from the junction line, so that others can move around you safely before getting to the junction RADAR head Secure the car when you have finished Move off when requested Don't forget… move off safely "at the end of the road….
