Forward Bay Parking to the Left
As you are driving into a car park, your Examiner will say:
"I would like you to Drive Forwards into any one of the available bays, either on the left or on the right"

Move to the Start Position
Look well ahead to find a suitable bay, and ensure that it is safe to carry out the parking manouevre.

Make as much space as you safely can between you and the bay you have chosen.

Decide when it is time to turn into the bay.

SLOW car, BRISK steering to get the car into the bay. Keep observing all around you.

Do not cross into anyone else's bays.

Get the car straight and central in the bay. Do not stick out of the bay's front, or the bay's back

Into REVERSE, to be able to see if the back of the car is inside the bay.

Secure the car when you are happy with your positioning.

When it all goes wrong..
Stop. RADAR head

Work out where you need to be, compared to where you are

Work out how to get there safely

Check that it is safe to do it. Are you sure it's safe?

Get there, safely.

When you leave, drive backwards in a straight line, until you are not going to get too close to any next-door vehicles.

Steer briskly in the direction you want to reverse towards, and then safely move off again.
